With a diverse background that spans stage acting, competitive improvisation, and audio engineering, I bring a unique authenticity to my voice acting performances. My life experiences—from serving in private military combat to working as a telecom engineer and truck driver—infuse depth into the characters I portray. Operating from a fully equipped home studio, I’ve collaborated with Aethon Audio and continue to hone my skills under the guidance of coaches like Peter Berkrot and Phill Thron. My dedication extends beyond merely reading scripts; I strive to embody the narratives I voice, making them come alive for the audience. Ultimately, my goal is to turn this passion into my sole income, fully immersing myself in the craft and living every story I tell.

A little about me...

Thank you for stopping by! I thought I would tell you a little about myself before jumping right into the business part of this. I am family man and truck driver by primary trade (for now) and aspiring full time narrator. I have had a far from normal life but who hasn't these days? I am married to my lovely wife Dana, who puts up with me as I know no other would, and is an amazing mother. We have two awesome children, Shale and Kimber and without their love and support I fear I would lack inspiration. I listen to a ridiculous amount of audio books while driving truck, I like to play video games with my son and Barbies with my daughter, yes I do their voices. I live in the middle of nowhere West Texas, which makes for a very quiet home studio, and provides the best sunsets I have ever seen. Match that with the community, hunting and fishing and its my personal utopia. I love to talk and tell stories, that and my previous time on stage inspired me to get into narrating. From their I would be remiss to not mention my amazing coaches Peter Berkrot, whom I have had as my primary coach for going on 2.5 years, and Phil Thron, whom I have recently started with and has already proven to be the perfect addition in my instruction. Their teaching styles mesh well, support each other and match my learning style, if you are looking for a coach I highly recommend contacting both of them before making your decision!

Great story line, the author knocked it out of the park and the narrator is on point and just phenomenal in my opinion.

New twist on sci-fi and well narrated

The story is unique. New author to me J E Mac has a great imagination and I look forward to the world being explored and expanded upon. The writing is easy to follow and the story line drags you in. Humans kicked off of earth and living in space with squids attacking them. Char, the main character, slowly developing into an adult with a new prototype suit fighting the squids. Of course the suit has a few issues making it more realistic. Rarely does a prototype work exactly as planned. Glad to see a female lead that is seamlessly incorporated into the story.
The narrator, Scott Yokum, is new as well. He has a great variety of voices. He is easy to listen to with a good pace and helps to bring the story to life.
I look forward to future books from both the author and narrator. He reminds me of John Perry the narrator of the Old Man Wars.
